He will also serve in the board of directors of Vantaan Energia Keski-Uusimaa, a district heating company that Infranode, Vantaa Energy and Keva acquired from Fortum recently.
”We are very pleased to get such a strong energy sector expert like Lauri to join our team. Lauri brings decades of experience and know-how of managing energy companies. With his strong background, Lauri will further strengthen Infranode’s position in Finland as a long-term and responsible owner of essential infrastructure”, Aleksi Graan, Infranode’s Country Lead in Finland, says.
”The transformation of the energy industry creates significant opportunities and a need for professional infrastructure owners such as Infranode. Such long-term owners secure necessary investments for maintaining and developing these assets and bring a great deal of financial and risk management expertise to boards of directors. I am excited to become part of Infranode’s network and look forward to developing the Finnish energy infrastructure for future generations as well as building new sustainable cooperation between the private and public sectors”, Virkkunen summarizes.
