“What motivates me is driving real, long-term change,” he says.

Since joining Infranode in 2021, Max has played a pivotal role in managing resilient infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on large-scale renewable energy initiatives. His journey at the company illustrates the deep connection between long-term investments and impactful societal change.

From consulting to ownership

Max’s background includes several years in management consulting and the telecom industry, but it was the opportunity to influence change on a deeper level that drew him to Infranode.

“I wanted to tackle questions from an ownership angle, where I could really drive change in a different way,” he explains.

The shift from advising companies to taking full ownership of projects gave Max the chance to lead large, transformative initiatives, particularly in the energy space.

At Infranode, Max quickly assumed responsibility for some of the company’s most significant long-term investment projects, reflecting his ambition to contribute to a more robust future.

A landmark project: Vandel III

One of Max’s defining achievements at Infranode is the Vandel III project—a vast solar park constructed on a former NATO airfield in western Denmark. This industrial-scale solar energy project, one of the largest in the Nordics, provides renewable energy to nearly 40,000 Danish households.

“Vandel III was one of the first major projects I worked on, and it was a complex and ambitious one,” Max recalls.

The project holds special significance for Max, as it aligns with both his professional goals and personal values.

“For me, this project is a great example of how we can reuse resources efficiently. We faced several challenges along the way, but after years of hard work, it’s incredibly rewarding to see it completed.”

Driving real change

Max’s role in bringing Vandel III to life exemplifies the broader mission of Infranode: to make long-term investments that benefit both society and the environment.

“The most satisfying part of my work is knowing that we’re not just making good investments—we’re helping to create a better, more sustainable future,” he says.

Infranode’s supportive and entrepreneurial culture has also been key to Max’s growth. As the first person in the newly formed asset management team, he helped establish processes and structures that have since expanded as the team grew.

“I’ve really grown with Infranode,” Max says. “With each new responsibility and project, I’ve been able to broaden my skill set and take on more leadership.”

Looking ahead

Max’s journey at Infranode is far from over. As the company continues to expand its portfolio of long-term investments, Max remains at the forefront of these efforts, eager to contribute to the ongoing green transition.

“It’s exciting to know that our work is having a real impact, not just today but for future generations,” he says.

For Max, the future is promising, and the opportunities for creating lasting change through impactful investments continue to grow.

“There’s still so much work to be done,” he says. “But I’m proud to be part of a team that’s helping to make it happen.”
