Infranode commits to work towards net zero by 2040

Infranode accelerates sustainability efforts by committing to work towards net zero across the portfolio by 2040, or sooner. As active owners, Infranode’s close collaboration with current and future portfolio companies will support them in becoming infrastructure fit for a carbon-neutral future.

By making long-term investments in essential infrastructure in the Nordics, Infranode has been promoting the green transition since our establishment. Decarbonization is central to our long-term vision, and we are now announcing that we will dedicate our efforts towards net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, or sooner.

“Infraode was founded to bridge the gap between what society is today and the needs of the future. Infrastructure is a critical enabler for society’s decarbonization efforts”, says Philip Ajina, Founder and CIO.

We are convinced that our work towards net zero will continue to build a resilient infrastructure portfolio that delivers stable returns to our investors over our long-term investment horizon and beyond.

“As responsible investors, our commitment to work towards net zero enhances the green transition journey for our portfolio companies, aiming to future-proof their businesses, and secure long-term value and returns for our investors” says Christian Doglia, Founder and CEO.

Infranode will work to address all three emissions scopes and stakeholders will be able to follow our progress through annual progress disclosures. Decarbonization roadmaps for our assets will play a key role in working towards net zero and we will support the companies in our portfolio to find value-add solutions.

“Our net zero 2040 commitment is an all-team alignment towards one single goal: future-proofing our portfolio’s businesses. For us, it is essential to work hand-in-hand with our portfolio companies and support them in finding feasible decarbonization measures that are available to them locally. Through close collaboration we can combine solutions and share knowledge”, says Julia Kosulko, Sustainability Manager and Net Zero lead.
